G2 STRATEGIC EXTENDS CONSULTING AGREEMENT WITH EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL
Barcelona, Spain—June 1, 2005—G2 Strategic and Euroleague Basketball announced today that they have extended their consulting agreement through June, 2006. G2 Strategic's principal, Marshall Glickman, has provided business advisory services to Euroleague Basketball, the elite pan-European professional league, since December, 2002.
"Euroleague Basketball is G2 Strategic's anchor client," said Glickman. "I am very appreciative that Jordi Bertomeu (Euroleague's CEO) has confidence to continue to look to us to help guide Euroleague Basketball's evolution as a business league."
"Marshall has been an important advisor for us," said Bertomeu. "He opened the way for us to take the 2006 Euroleague Final Four to Prague, he has been a key part of solidifying our relationship with the NBA, he has overseen major research and re-branding projects and will continue to play a significant role in defining our future direction. And, since he developed the Euroleague Ticketing Program, we have seen dramatic increases in attendance. We are very happy our relationship will continue."
G2 Strategic is a boutique advisory firm, specializing in sports business, venue development and marketing strategy. Other G2 Strategic clients include CSKA Moscow, Tennis Canada and the French Tennis Federation.
"Euroleague has opened many doors for me in Europe," said Glickman. "I expect that G2 Strategic will continue to add clients, but we want to stay relatively small so I can continue to take a hands on role with all of my clients."
